Hi everybody! My name is Dmitry Ryabchikov, I'm from Moscow. I'm 20 years old and i'm doing my studies at the interpreters faculty in moscow state linguistic university. Before playing UT2004 I was fond of Heroes of might and magic (especially the first one they were really great) and Warcraft 3 RoC & TFT. Even today I watch some wc3 replays from big events like WCG and others. In real life I enjoy playing football, electric guitar and snowboarding :-)
Looking at your group what do you think of your chances of getting through? Who is your main competition?
Well, to be honest, I'm out of progaming for about 2 years and don't know the current skill of the players. In my time DevilMC was one of the best and kiLLzA was as well good and played eurocup if I'm not mistaking. So I think it will be kiLLzA for sure and ziLL as he reached top 2 in last cup. But I have recently played some good players and if my ping gonna be ok then I have very good chances to get through the group stage.
What about in the division as a whole?
In the division as a whole I think RazerS and kiLLzA will be the hardest to pass. But it’s possible that may be I would play with better ping than I have at that moment and it would definitely improve my performance.
Top 3 predictions?
kiLLzA\RazerS\me =))))) but as I told before, I’m not aware of the players skill… so it’s just a guess. But as for me I would do my best to reach it DD Cuz I really like cb cups and enjoy them a lot.
What are your thoughts on the maplist being the same 4 again?
I like the maps!!! They are standard and if you wanna win you have to be really better in skill and it’s not a question of luck. Also I know them well, so I was really pleased seeing the maplist. And I didn’t like the fifth map before as, for example, 2 years ago it could be Reverse, Backspace or Aerowalk and you could never know which one would be in the cup. Yeah may be it’s more interesting to play new maps as you have to learn them, but I think it’s better for lower divisions where more gamers play for entertainment, while in div 1-2 you wanna just win.
What is your favourite 1v1 map and why?
My favorite 1v1 map is DM-Rankin-FE. I just played it much more then any other and may be that’s why I like it. But in Russia most of the progamers liked Ironic, so may be my skill there is equal to that on Rankin or even a bit higher. But I didn’t enjoyed the map before, as I had worse flack =)
Is 1v1 your favourite gametype?
Yes, it is. Sometimes I play TDM, but I don’t like it so much as duels. Even if you play with skilled guys in team, they could make you mad by interfering your movements or not dropping weapons and so on. Or when you lose due to the fact that they are less skilled you get rid of all this team game types. I think that’s the reason why I prefer duels. Here you could control the whole game and everything depends from you.
What is it that makes you still want to play UT2004 rather than a different game like QuakeLive?
Hard question to answer…. I just tried the ut2k4 demo and loved it a lot! I was playing wc3 for 3 years before that. But then I got the ut demo version and had set up an internet connection. And I still like this game…surely it’s not as balanced as quake 3 but I like the gameplay and I think it’s more difficult to play it than quake 3. When I was choosing the game to play I also didn’t like quake’s graphic and it was one of the points why I choosed ut2k4 too Having already became a progamer I understood that quake 3 is also a pro-game as I have train a bit with Russian pros, but from my point of view, the UT Series are more sophisticated

Привет. Вначале вкратце расскажи о себе...
Привет! Меня зовут Дмитрий Рябчиков, я из Москвы. Мне 20 лет, учусь в лингвистическом университете. Перед тем, как плотно засесть за 2004й анрил я играл в Heroes of might and magic (особенно первая часть... она просто великолепна) и Warcraft 3 RoC & TFT. Каждый день я просматривал реплеи с крупных чемпионатов, таких как WCG и пр. В реальной жизни наслаждаюсь играя в футбол, на электрогитаре и катаясь на сноубоарде.
Глядя на свою группу... Как ты оцениваешь шансы выхода из нее? Кто может помешать тебе?
Откровенно говоря, я отошел от прогейминга около двух лет назад и не имею представления о нынешних скиллах игроков. В мое время DevilMC был одним из лучших, да и kiLLzA великолепно отыграл на Еврокубке, если я не ошибаюсь. Так что я думаю точно выйдет kiLLzA и наверно ziLL т.к. был в финале прошлого кубка. Но недавно я сыграл с несколькими хорошими игроками и если мой пинг будет нормальным то я буду иметь отличные шансы выйти из группы.
А вообще мнение о дивизионах в целом?
Вообще сложнее всего будет пройти RaserS и kiLLzA . Но возможно я буду играть с лучшим пингом нежели я имею сейчас и это определенно повысит уровень моей игры.
Твой прогноз первой тройки?
kiLLzA , RazerS , я =))))) как я говорил раньше - без понятия, кто сейчас как играет. Так что это только предположение. Но что до меня я выдам максимум для достижения этого Потому что я правда люблю кубки от кланбейз и наслаждаюсь от них.
Твое мнение о маплисте из 4х все тех же карт?
Мне нравятся эти карты!!! Все они стандартны, и чтобы выиграть нужно иметь скилл, а не надеятся на халяву. Я также отлично их знаю и поэтому был рад увидя такой маплист. И я не люблю 5е карты как было раньше, т.к. в последние года два она постоянно менялась - ею были и Reverse и Backspace и Aerowalk.. И хрен знает, что нужно было бы заучивать к этому кубку. Возможно интересно играть на новых картах, т.к. тебе пришлось бы учить их, но думаю это больше бы подошло к остальным дивизионам, где народ играет для удовольствия а не первому или второму где каждый хочет только победы.
Какая твоя любимая дуэльная карта? Ну и причину назови.
DM-Rankin-FE. Я играл на ней больше всего и видимо поэтому ее и обожаю. В россии большинство про-игоков любят Ироник, но скилл по настоящему раскрывается лишь на Ранкине.
Дуэль твой любимый режим?
Ага. Иногда поигрываю в ТДМ, но он мне не нравится так, как дуэли. Даже если ты играешь с сильными тиммейтами, они могут начать бесить тебя не скидывая оружие, мешая перемещению. И очень обидно проигрывать по этой причине менее скиловой команде только потому, что они играют тимплейно. В дуэлях же ты можешь контролить всю игру и всё зависит от тебя.
Пробовал ли ты слезть с UT2004 на другие игры, например QuakeLive?
Тяжеловато ответить. Я попробовал демку 2004го и влюбился в игру. До этого три года шпилил в Варкрафт. Да, игра (анрыл) не так сбалансирована как квака, но я обожаю этот геймплей, и не представляю себя играющим в кваку. И когда выбирал во что задрачивать - то просто не смог смотреть на кваковскую графику.. Видимо и это тоже повлияло на выбор игры . Да и сугубо имхо - анриловская серия гораздо сложнее в игре, нежели квака
